what we keep, and why
Privacy
Last updated: 14 August 2026. Catholic Daily Prayer is a registered business name of Garro Industries LLC, Indiana, United States. Questions: support@catholicdailyprayer.org.
What we collect
When you subscribe we store your first name; your phone number, both as you typed it and in a standardised dialling form; the delivery channel (text message); your time zone, so prayers arrive at the right hour; and the plan you selected.
We also store a record of your consent: the date and time you checked the consent box, the internet address (IP) your browser was using at that moment, and the version of the consent wording you agreed to. We keep this because carriers and the law require us to be able to show that you asked for these messages.
We store a log of the messages we send you — the text of each message, when it was scheduled, when it was sent, and whether your carrier reported it delivered.
If you sign in to the member portal, we store the email address, name, and profile image supplied by your Google account, so we can recognise you when you return.
We do not store your card number. Payment is handled by Stripe; we keep only the customer and subscription identifiers Stripe gives us so we can find your subscription.
How we use it
Only to run the service: to send you the prayers you subscribed to, at your local hours; to bill the plan you chose; to answer you when you write in; to honour STOP, HELP, PAUSE, and RESUME; and to keep the records the law and the mobile carriers require.
What we never do
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers or data brokers. We do not send you marketing for anything other than this service.
No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-message originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party.
Who else touches it
To deliver the service we rely on a small number of companies, each of which sees only what it needs: Twilio delivers the messages and therefore handles your phone number and message text; Stripe processes payments and holds your card details under its own privacy policy; Google provides sign-in for the member portal, if you use it; our hosting provider stores the database on our behalf. None of them is permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep your subscription record while you are subscribed, and for as long afterwards as we are required to retain proof of your consent. Message logs are kept so we can answer questions about what was sent and when.
How to have it deleted
Reply STOP to any message to stop the prayers immediately. To have your records erased, write to support@catholicdailyprayer.org from any address, or from the phone number on the account, and say you want your information deleted. We will delete your name, phone number, and message history, and confirm when it is done. We keep the consent record itself where the law requires us to.
Children
This service is sold to adults. If a family plan includes a child's number, the adult who set up the plan is responsible for that consent, and every member of a family plan can reply STOP for themselves.
Changes
If we change this page we will change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so in a message.
